The Crane Association of New Zealand (INC) has awarded Scott McLeod, McLeod Cranes the Weigh Load Trophy for most outstanding service to the Crane Association of New Zealand.
Today we have been featured in the Site Safe E-Alert for our win of the MSA Safety Leadership Award.
McLeod Cranes won the MSA Safety Leadership Award, open to all business sizes, at the 2013 Site Safe Construction Health and Safety Awards. McLeod Cranes developed an 'Industry Standard Lift Plan' and training documentation which has been accepted by the Crane Association of New Zealand and Skills Organisation (ITO). We are recipients of the prestigious MSA Safety Leadership Award. The Award is a key external recognition of our unwavering commitment and dedication to leadership in this critical operational area. McLeod Cranes have been named a Finalist in the MSA Safety Leadership Award at the Site Safe Construction Health and Safety Awards! The MSA Safety Leadership Award Small, medium or large business. This Award is for a site or company where an initiative has been implemented that involves organisational leaders in developing safety culture, making safety positive, encouraging engagement in health and safety and demonstrating leadership at the highest level. This award is open to organisations of all sizes. Organisational leaders can be from the CEO and senior managers through to site managers, supervisors and foreman.
The team are all looking forward to the evening of celebration on the 30th October 2013. McLeod Cranes has been named as a finalist in the 2013 New Zealand Workplace Health & Safety Awards (Category 6, Site Safe best health and safety initiative by a small business).
Our team are again very proud to have another Health and Safety initiative recognised at this level having won the 2012 Award and look forward to this years awards evening on the 29th May. We would also like to acknowledge the support of the Crane Association of New Zealand who recognised our efforts to create a document for Safe Crane Lift Planning and endorsed it as a national standard. Safeguard magazine explores all aspects of workplace health and safety in New Zealand. It is essential reading for anyone with any level of responsibility for health and safety.
