We’re Proud To Say It’s Been Awarded To McLeod.
We’re delighted and honoured to share our good news with you.
Wednesday 30th November, McLeod Cranes were named Winners in the 2013 Site Safe Construction Health & Safety Awards.
We are recipients of the prestigious MSA Safety Leadership Award. The Award is a key external recognition of our unwavering commitment and dedication to leadership in this critical operational area.
Safety has long been an area of substantial investment for us, in training, in systems and in technology. It’s an area where we’re determined to provide the greatest assurance possible to every customer we work with. It’s about reliability. About risk management. And these, to us, are non-negotiable quality standards.
In summary, the Award recognises our efforts to improve planning and documentation for crane lifts. McLeod Cranes identified significant variations in the existing documents being used. We thus saw the need to create an Industry Standard Lift Plan - one which would be simple to use yet powerful enough to encompass many of the lifts all crane operators encounter.
As the Award text puts it, ‘McLeod Cranes demonstrated their leadership by developing a draft lift plan, and consulted with a number of parties to fine tune and test the plan. The final version along with a training document has been accepted by the Crane Association of New Zealand and Skills, the Industry ITO. It is now making in-roads to the industry, with the opportunity to make a real difference to crane operations and significantly increase safety on construction sites.’
Every one of our team members shares in this Award. We know it’s of key value to you and every one of our customers. Simply, safety comes first here. It’s an area of leadership no-one should be willing to compromise. It’s why I’m delighted to share news of this Award.
