Wednesday the 11th of November, McLeod Hiabs Ltd were named Winners in the Site Safe NZ Construction Health and Safety Awards.
We are recipients of the prestigious AWF Safety Innovation Award (for large organisations). The Award is a key external recognition of our unwavering commitment and dedication to leading the industry in this critical operational area.
Safety has long been an area of substantial investment for us, in training, in systems and in technology. It’s an area where we’re determined to provide the greatest assurance possible to every customer we work with. It’s about reliability. About risk management. And these, to us, are non-negotiable quality standards.
As the Award text puts it, ‘McLeod Hiabs created a ladder solution called the "Three Points of Contact Vehicle Access" which allows their operators to access their hiab decks without risk of slips, trips and falls. The solution is easy to use for drivers and keeps the operators safe from the injuries that can come with jumping off decks. Judges commented that the three points of contact concept is a simple and effective design solution to prevent slips and falls. The company has shown a real passion for health and safety’
Every one of our team members shares in this Award. We know it’s of key value to you and every one of our customers. Simply, safety comes first here. It’s an area of leadership no-one should be willing to compromise. It’s why I’m delighted to share news of this Award.
