Aquatic Survival Skills Program


The Aquatic Survival Skills Program is an invaluable initiative that assists teachers in educating primary school students about water survival skills. In collaboration with Swimming New Zealand, this program emphasizes practical skills that empower children to become confident and responsible around water.


Specifically designed for students in Years 5/6, this comprehensive program covers essential survival skills required for various water activities. From teaching techniques for floating and treading water to introducing basic rescue methods, the Aquatic Survival Skills Program ensures that children are well-prepared to handle potential water hazards.


Water Skills for Life Program


Our commitment to water safety education extends further with the Water Skills for Life Program. This program sets the standard for aquatic education in New Zealand primary schools and aligns with the national education curriculum. It provides children with the skills and knowledge necessary to assess risks and make informed decisions around water.


For schools with pools and serving Decile 1-6, Years 0-8 students, we offer the Water Skills for Life Program. Going beyond traditional swimming lessons, this program fosters a comprehensive understanding of water environments. Students learn to identify potential hazards, develop critical thinking skills, and acquire the necessary techniques to navigate water safely.
